Am Sonntag beendete ich bei der Premiere des mariatroster Treppenlaufs mit dem 1. Platz und Streckenrekord würdig diese sehr durchwachsene Saison. Im Finale konnte ich mich mit über 3 Sekunden Vorsprung und der Tagesbestzeit über die 216 Stufen hinauf zur Basilika souverän durchsetzen. Als Draufgabe erhielt ich € 150.- Siegesprämie sowie einen tollen Sachpreis der Firma Luma Enlite für die schnellste Zeit.
Der Modi der Veranstaltung war wie folgt:
2 Zeitläufe -> Top 8 matchten sich im Viertelfinale (KO-System)
Top 4 traten im Halbfinale gegeneinander an, danach folgten das A- und B-Finale um die Plätze 1 und 3. In Summe galt es also sich die Kraft gut einzuteilen, um auch im letzten und finalen fünften Lauf noch eine dementsprechende Leistung liefern zu können.
